BRIEFLY TEENAGER'S DEATH LINKED TO GANGS.


WINNETKA - A 15-year-old boy inducted into a street gang two weeks ago died during a shooting in Winnetka police believe was gang-related, police said Sunday.

The shooting occurred just before midnight Saturday at a house party attended by between 20 and 25 teenagers near the intersection of Irondale Avenue and Valerio Street, said Sgt. Alan Sorkness of the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Police Department's West Valley station.

The victim, who was not identified, was standing in the back yard as the party was ending and was approached by the shooter, who asked him what gang he was from.

An argument ensued, and the victim was shot multiple times in the chest, arm and leg, said LAPD 1. LAPD - Link Access Procedure on the D channel.

The victim was taken to West Hills Hospital, where he died, Sorkness said.

Police ID woman killed in shooting

Nancy Ramirez, 23, of Pacoima was one of three people shot during the Saturday night gunfire. Ramirez died at an area hospital.

Two 17-year-old youths were also shot and remained in stable condition Sunday, LAPD Officer Ed Funes said.

The trio had been standing by a car in the 13400 block of Mercer Street about 8 p.m. eating tacos, police said. A black car drove up, words were exchanged and a gunman shot at the group with a small-caliber handgun, then fled, police said.

Gas prices level for five months

CAMARILLO - Gas prices have held steady for more than five months, dropping less than a penny over the past three weeks, a gasoline gasoline or petrol, light, volatile mixture of hydrocarbons for use in the internal-combustion engine and as an organic solvent, obtained primarily by fractional distillation and "cracking" of petroleum, but also obtained from natural gas, by  industry analyst said Sunday.

2 shot, wounded; gunman escapes

SUN VALLEY - An unknown gunman shot two men Sunday night Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, was an NBC late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists.  in Sun Valley, then fled in a golden truck, police said.

Two unidentified men were shot at 10:15 p.m. in the 8700 block of Lehigh Avenue, Los Angeles police Sgt. Tony Carranza said. They were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History .

The suspect, who fled in a gold truck, Carranza said, was not identified.
