Jeff Young is an American guitarist. He graduated from Musicians Institute in 1985, and is best known for his time with the thrash metal band as the boys' basketball coach at Chaminade of West Hills. Young, who led the Eagles to consecutive Southern Section Division III-AA titles in 1998 and 1999, resigned to pursue college coaching opportunities. Cantwell, 29, has been an assistant under Young since 1994. ``It's his time and he deserves it,'' Young said. ``It's a lot easier for me knowing that what we started when we first got here will continue on.'' Young, 31, will remain at Chaminade for the time being but is actively pursuing college coaching opportunities. |
