Special sign-ups for swim lessons

PALMDALE - Palmdale's parks and recreation department will hold a special one-day registration for Session I swim lessons from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at their office, 38260 10th St. E.

Program fees are $29 for residents and $34 for nonresidents.

Swim lessons begin June 16 and run Monday through Friday for a two-week period. Sessions are usually 30 to 40 minutes long at McAdam Pool, 38115 30th St. E and Courson Pool, 38226 10th St. E.

Special one-day registrations will take place at the parks and recreation office from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 21 for Session II swim lessons; July 12 for Session III; July 19 for Session IV; and Aug. 2 for Session V.

Parents may only register children in their immediate families; however, a parent showing a child-care provider license may register three other children.

A complete listing of Palmdale's parks and recreation programs is available in the activity guide at the parks and recreation office from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
