BRIEFLY SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN GANG SHOOTING.


NORTH HILLS - A man was shot Thursday night in a North Hills town home in what may be a gang-related shooting.

Police responded to the 8400 block of Columbus Avenue after a shooting was reported at 10:15 p.m., said LAPD 1. LAPD - Link Access Procedure on the D channel.

Police were initially searching for five males and one female suspect, Cox said. Police believe the shooting may be gang-related, said LAPD Sgt. Rick Leiphardt.

The wounded man Wounded Man in English, 傷追い人 (Kizuoibito) in Japanese, is a seinen manga written by Kazuo Koike and drawn in a Gekiga style by artist Ryoichi Ikegami.  is believed to be in his early 20s. His identity and condition were not immediately available.

Nearby residents said they heard at least five gunshots and screams coming from the town home.

Firefighters responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital, officials said.

Homeless camp victim identified

VAN NUYS - A man found shot to death in a homeless camp last month has been identified as Fiero Antonio Castello, the Coroner's Office announced Thursday.

The 46-year-old Mexico native was shot in the chest Nov. 26 beneath a freeway underpass near Haskell Avenue and the San Diego Freeway The San Diego Freeway (Interstate 405, and the part of Interstate 5 south of the El Toro Y[1]) is one of the principal north-south highways in Southern California, and the major beltway of I-5 running through Southern California. . The Coroner's Office declared the shooting a homicide.

The assistant district attorney said Max Becker, 77, of Newbury Park and Anthony Durant, 41, have agreed to surrender - but Kirk Kuykendoll, 51, of Thousand Oaks, is considered a fugitive.

Joggers warned following attack

THOUSAND OAKS - Police warned walkers and joggers Thursday to be careful after a 30-year-old Thousand Oaks woman fought off an attack near Sunset Hills Road at Verano Drive.

The woman was walking in the area at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday when a man approaching from the opposite direction greeted her, then grabbed and pushed her off the sidewalk, police said.

The woman struggled with the attacker and screamed, causing the man to run south on Sunset Hills Road, a news release said.

The man was described 18-25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 135 pounds. He wore a dark-colored, hooded sweat shirt and gray sweat pants, police said.
