BRIEFLY SUSPECT SOUGHT IN GANG STABBING.


BURBANK - Burbank police sought a bald-headed young man who wounded another man in a possibly gang-related fight Friday, sending him to the hospital with a cut and puncture wound to the abdomen.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is a hospital in Burbank, California, USA. The hospital has 455 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. It's adress is: 501 S. Buena Vista St., Burbank, CA 91505.  by friends at 1:35 a.m., said Sgt. Tim Stehr became the Police Chief of the department on August 1, 2007. The previous chiefs were Thomas Hoefel, David Newsham and Glen Bell.

His wounds were not life-threatening, the sergeant said.

Parents arrested in infant's death

Lecture planned on solar system

Frank Zappa's mother dies at 91

BURBANK - Rose Marie Zappa, the mother of the late musician Frank Zappa, died Thursday in Burbank. She was 91.

Convicted killer commits suicide

A former Long Beach high school teacher convicted of killing his girlfriend used a razor to slash his throat while in jail awaiting transfer to prison and died, a coroner's official reported Friday.

Pedro Tepoz-Leon, 35, was found dead on a bunk in his cell at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility The Twin Towers Correctional Facility, also referred to in the media as Twin Towers Jail, is a complex erected in Los Angeles, California to house inmates of the Los Angeles County Courts. It is the world’s largest jail.  in Los Angeles about 5 a.m. Thursday. Deputy Harry Drucker said Tepoz-Leon had not exhibited any suicidal tendencies previously.

The day before he died, Tepoz-Leon had been sentenced to 26 years to life in prison for the October 2002 stabbing death of Mayra Mora-Lopez, 19, his live-in girlfriend.

Jury deadlocks in police force case

The judge in the retrial of a fired Inglewood police officer declared a mistrial A courtroom trial that has been terminated prior to its normal conclusion.
