Southland summit draws geologists

Ambulance stolen in rescue is back

LOS ANGELES - A Fire Department ambulance was stolen during a rescue Sunday but recovered minutes later with minor damage, a city fire official said.

The theft occurred between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. near the 200 block of West Sixth Street, said Jim Wells of the Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
