SYLMAR - A 15-year-old student arrested at Birmingham High School Birmingham High School is a public coeducational high school in the neighborhood/district of Lake Balboa in the San Fernando Valley section of the city of Los Angeles, California. The school is a part of District One of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).  after allegedly posting an Internet message threatening to shoot fellow students and set off bombs in the cafeteria is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on felony charges of making terrorist threats, authorities said Friday.

THOUSAND OAKS - The Conejo Valley Association of Realtors reported Friday that 112 homes were sold last month, down 12 percent from February 2000, but the price of homes was up.

The median price was $410,000, compared with $365,280 a year earlier.

Jury acquits teen of murder charges

LANCASTER - A teen-ager accused of fatally stabbing a man in a Lancaster motel room was acquitted Friday by the second jury to consider the case.

The Superior Court panel acquitted Paul Louis Romando, now 19, of charges stemming from the 1999 killing of Field Simes. The jury convicted him of grand theft auto.

Mother will stand trial in conspiracy

MALIBU - A Calabasas mother accused of conspiring to have her 5-year-old son kidnapped to get $200,000 in ransom from her unsuspecting husband was ordered Friday to stand trial.

Malibu Superior Court Judge Lawrence J. Mira ruled there was enough evidence to require Rajvinder Kaur, 32, to stand trial. Also ordered to stand trial were Tajinder Singh, 37; Balwinder Singh, 26; and Jaswinder Gurdeep Singh, 31, who are accused of conspiring with Kaur.
