BRIEFLY STOLEN CAR'S OWNER FINDS BODY IN TRUNK.


A man whose stolen car was returned by a local police agency found a corpse in the trunk, authorities said Saturday.

Mark Jaimes, 22, of South Gate apparently was shot to death and his body shoved into the trunk of the Buick Park Avenue

Applicants sought for Internet class

California State University's alternative credentialing program for elementary school elementary school: see school.  teachers, CalStateTEACH, will be seeking applicants until Dec. 15, the university has announced.

The program uses the Internet as well as video and print materials in a class that begins Jan. 29 and runs 18 months. Students in the program need visit one of the university's 23 campuses only five times during the $1,103 program.
