BURBANK - A child who apparently activated pepper spray in his mother's purse forced the brief evacuation of a lobby at Burbank Airport on Sunday morning Sunday Morning may refer to:

Two people were treated for minor eye irritation, said Rick Maggio, an operations supervisor at the airport.

The incident was reported at 10:53 a.m., Maggio said. Once the lobby was aired out - which took about seven minutes - those evacuated were allowed to return.

Pilot injured in chopper crash

COMPTON - A privately owned helicopter crashed Sunday near Compton, but the pilot - the only person on board - escaped with minor injuries, authorities said.

No one on the ground was hurt when the chopper went down near Alameda Street and the Gardena Freeway The Gardena Freeway is a short freeway in southern Los Angeles County, California. It is the westernmost freeway portion of California State Route 91. It begins just west of the Harbor Freeway at the intersection with Vermont Avenue in the eastern edge of the city of Gardena,  about 1 p.m., Deputy Scott Butler said.

Deputies say dead woman from NoHo

PALMDALE - A woman whose remains were found in a Palmdale ravine was identified Sunday as a resident of North Hollywood, a sheriff's deputy said.

The remains of Maria Teresa Cordona, 32, of North Hollywood were found about 9:30 p.m. Friday near a business area in the 38600 block of Sixth Street East, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Bill Spear.

Body of woman found in back seat

VENTURA - An unidentified Ventura woman found dead in the back seat of a car Sunday may have died under suspicious circumstances, police said.

Ventura police Lt. Jerry Thurston said a woman in her late 30s or early 40s was found by a neighbor at 2 p.m Sunday in a sedan parked in the 100 block of Flint Street.

``She was found in a car, and it looks (as though) she didn't die in the location where she was found,'' Thurston said. ``She was on the back seat or the floorboard.''

ER barricade case results in arrest

VENTURA - Police arrested a 33-year-old Ventura man Sunday on suspicion of false imprisonment false imprisonment, complete restraint upon a person's liberty of movement without legal justification. Actual physical contact is not necessary; a show of authority or a threat of force is sufficient. The person falsely imprisoned may sue the offender for damages.  after he allegedly locked himself in a hospital emergency room office with a doctor and a nurse, police said.

Andrew Myer, 33, was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly flagged down a driver at 6:15 p.m., said he was being chased by an unknown assailant and directed he be taken to Ventura County Medical Center Ventura County Medical Center is a hospital in the city of Ventura, California, USA. It is a 208 bed acute care hospital. The county also operates a 49 bed campus in Santa Paula. , Ventura police Lt. Jerry Thurston said.

``Once at the ER, he (barricaded) himself in the nurse and doctors' station with a nurse and doctor with him and started moving furniture to barricade the door,'' Thurston said. ``He had delusions he was being chased.''
