BRIEFLY SHOOTINGS LEAVE THREE MEN INJURED.


ARLETA - Three separate shootings were reported in the northeast Valley early Sunday, leaving three people with gunshot wounds, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  police reported.

A 20-year-old Pacoima man was shot in the right leg shortly after midnight at 10218 Vena Ave. in Arleta, officials said. Police arrested a 20-year-old Pacoima man, who was not named.

A 22-year-old Sylmar man was shot in the arm just before 1 a.m. near Sayre Street and Foothill Boulevard in Sylmar, police said.

A 19-year-old Sun Valley man was shot in the arm just after 4 a.m. in the 12300 block of Osborne Place in Pacoima, police said.

1 dead, 3 injured in crash on 405

BURBANK - The California Highway Patrol was on the lookout Sunday for a truck reportedly packed with explosives on its way from Texas to Burbank Airport, a spokesman said.

The CHP in Barstow received an anonymous phone call about the truck Saturday afternoon, said Officer Alex Gonzalez. The caller said the 50-foot trailer would arrive at Burbank Airport this morning.

Police open fire on gang suspects

VAN NUYS - Police gang officers fired shots at suspected gang members Sunday, with four taken into custody for questioning, police said. No one was injured.

Shooter hits man on Borden Street
