A career fair with representatives from some of the leading companies in Santa Clarita will be held March 21 at the Hilton Garden Inn Hilton Garden Inn is the name of a chain of hotels operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. The Santa Clarita Valley Mayor's Committee for Employment of Individuals with Disabilities will meet March 27 for lunch and a program on ergonomics.

Discussion will focus on meeting new Occupational Safety and Health Administration Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. agency established (1970) in the Dept. of Labor (see Labor, United States Department of) to develop and enforce regulations for the safety and health of workers in businesses that are engaged in interstate  regulations that went into effect this year.

Chamber luncheon aims at recycling

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly luncheon March 29, with a special presentation on recycling and how it benefits businesses.

The meeting will be held at 11:45 a.m. at the Valencia Country Club. Reservations are due by March 26 and may be made by calling the chamber office at (661) 259-4787. The cost is $25.

The chamber is seeking donations for its 17th annual Oak Tree Golf Classic, scheduled for May 7 at Robinson Ranch. For information, call Robin Choppe at the chamber office.
