Prostitution ring's leader convicted

A Ukrainian woman involved in what is believed to be the largest prostitution ring in Los Angeles history was convicted Wednesday of eight charges, including money laundering.

The Los Angeles Superior Court jury deliberated less than a day before returning its verdict against Rimma Fetissova, 43, said Deputy District Attorney Marcia Daniel.

Along with four counts of money laundering, Fetissova also was convicted of one count each of pimping, pandering, conspiracy to commit pimping and conspiracy to commit pandering, Daniel said.
