BRIEFLY SENIOR PROJECT VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT.LANCASTER - Antelope Valley Union High School District The Antelope Valley Union High School District (A.V.U.H.S.D.) is located in the Antelope Valley area of California, in northern Los Angeles County. The district includes eight public high schools, one trade school, and two continuation high schools in the cities of Palmdale is seeking volunteers to serve as judges who will listen to oral presentations given by students on their senior projects. About 300 people have so far signed up to serve as judges, but the district estimates it needs about 3,000. The presentations will be going on through the month of May at the six comprehensive high schools. Serving on a panel will require several hours of a person's time. Judges will hear students' presentations, which can last up to 10 minutes, have time to ask questions, and then score the students' work.
