BRIEFLY ROBBER TRIO STEALS CASH, CREDIT CARDS.


LANCASTER - A Lancaster man was robbed by three gunmen who broke into his apartment and demanded his cash and credit cards, officials said.

All three bandits were African-American men in their early 20s, officials said.

One was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a green, long-sleeved shirt and black pants.

A second - about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds - was wearing a red T-shirt.

The third was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds, with short curly curl·y

Resident charged in man's shooting

 shooting an acquaintance after an argument at the suspect's house was charged Wednesday with murder.

Ivan Edgar Orr is charged in the slaying of 24-year-old Geremy Macoy of Quartz Hill, who was shot about 2:45 a.m. Monday in the 44000 block of Fern Avenue, officials said.

Orr was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, but that hearing was postponed until Aug. 3. He was being held in lieu of Instead of; in place of; in substitution of. It does not mean in addition to.  $2 million bail, officials said.

Orr shot Macoy several times with a .25-caliber handgun during an argument at Orr's house, officials said. Deputies said they recovered the gun from a neighbor's house, where Orr had hidden it.

Orr said he could not remember shooting Macoy, officials said.

Investigators initially believed that Madera may have been attacked by a group of men after an argument, but later determined that only Flores and his brother were present.
