 - A knife-wielding man robbed a Michael's Big and Tall clothing store Monday morning, then fled with an undetermined amount of cash, officials said.

The man - described as Latino, 5 feet 8 and 150 pounds - pretended pre·tend·ed  
adj.
1. Not genuine or sincere; feigned: a pretended interest in the proceedings.

2. Supposed; alleged: the pretended heir to the throne.
 to be a customer, approached the counter, brandished a knife and told the clerk to open the register. He then ordered the clerk to the ground, grabbed the cash and fled.
