ENCINO - A 10-year-old boy trying to jump into a pool from a rooftop in the 18000 block of Rosita Street died Wednesday night after slipping and falling onto the pavement, authorities said.

Paramedics transported the boy to a local hospital where he died while in surgery, authorities said.
