BURBANK - City Councilwoman Marsha Ramos was recognized Monday as Woman of the Year for the 21st California Senate District during a celebration at the state Capitol.

Ramos was chosen by State Sen. Jack Scott, D-Pasadena, for her many contributions to the community.

She is a founding board member of the Boys & Girls Club Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. Kelley, who was also it's producer and executive producer. New rabbi chosen for Temple Sinai

GLENDALE - Rabbi Jonathan Biatch, a San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills.
 native, has been chosen to start heading Temple Sinai of Glendale on July 1, officials said Monday.

He will succeed Rabbi Carole Meyers, who stepped down last year. Born and raised in Studio City, Biatch has served as associate rabbi at Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria, Va.
