BRIEFLY QUARTZ HILL TO LIGHT COMMUNITY TREE.


QUARTZ HILL - The Quartz Hill Town Council on Friday will light a community holiday tree decorated with 3,000 red, white and blue lights.

The tree, a 40-year-old evergreen in front of the Quartz Hill Town Center, will be lighted by sheriff's Capt. Tom Pigott and an Edwards Air Force Base Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway.  representative.
