Three overdoses at 'monster' rave

Three music lovers were hospitalized for drug overdoses Sunday and about 40 other people treated for ``minor scrapes and abrasions'' during a rave at the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Sports Arena, a police captain said.

School officials report gun rumors

A suspected gang member was arrested on suspicion of having a loaded gun after Conejo Valley High School officials called Thousand Oaks police, officials announced this weekend.

Police said school officials heard rumors that recently expelled students who might have a gun were seen in the area of the school Friday.

The suspect with the gun was found behind some apartments in the 1800 block of West Hillcrest Drive, police said.

The arrest followed an incident a week earlier in which a man suspected of being in the same gang was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon in front of some Conejo Valley High School students, officials said.
