BRIEFLY POLICE SEEK DUO IN GANG SHOOTING.


SYLMAR - Detectives were searching Saturday for two gang members suspected of an ambush-style drive-by shooting drive-by shooting Public health A phenomenon in which one or more persons–commonly members of street gangs, open fire à la Al Capone from moving vehicles, often in retaliation for an alleged wrong-doing by a rival gang  that wounded a 21-year-old man early Saturday morning, police said.

The victim, whom police did not identify, was shot in the thigh, and was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills shortly after the 2:45 a.m. shooting. It occurred in the 14900 block of Oswald Street in Sylmar.

``It was an ambush,'' said Sgt. Garth Grugal of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Division. ``It appears that they were waiting for him: The victim comes home from work, and they come out with a rifle.''

Police believe members of a San Fernando gang were involved in the shooting.

Fire in Northridge destroys factory

NORTHRIDGE - A fire destroyed a picture frame-making company in Northridge, fire officials said Saturday.

The building at 8731 N.
