Semi spills diesel fuel on 110 lanes

A driver lost control of a semitruck, which crashed through the center divider of the Harbor Freeway in South Los Angeles on Sunday, spilling diesel fuel on both sides of the freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash on the southbound 110, south of Gage Avenue, happened after the big rig hit two other vehicles, said CHP Officer Brian Joy. The truck then smashed into the concrete barrier and overturned onto the northbound car-pool lanes. The crash was reported about 11:15 a.m.

The driver was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, officials said.
