Man wanted in three murders

Investigators believe a couple killed near California State University, Channel Islands California State University, Channel Islands (CSUCI) is a university located in Camarillo, California, in California's Ventura County. CSUCI opened in 2002 as the twenty-third campus in the California State University system, succeeding the Ventura County branch campus of , last month and an Oxnard man killed 14 hours earlier were shot by the same man, authorities said Thursday.

Rudolfo Negrete, 22, of Oxnard is wanted in connection with all three slayings, Ventura County sheriff's Detective Rob Davidson said. The bodies of Alexander Jordan, 24, and his wife, Cynthia Jordan, 22, of Taft, were found April 17 near Camarillo. Cynthia Jordan was several weeks pregnant. Daniel Campos, 21, was shot to death earlier that day in Oxnard.

Commuter bus destroyed by fire

GLENDALE - No one was injured, but rush-hour traffic was snarled when a commuter express bus was destroyed by flames on a Los Angeles freeway Thursday, a fire official said.

The fire was reported at 4:55 p.m. on the northbound Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California.
