Palmdale couple arrested in fraud

PALMDALE - A married Palmdale couple accused of bilking banks out of at least $1 million in an alleged real estate fraud scheme were arrested Monday, a sheriff's deputy said.

Pamela Edwards, 44, and her husband, Willie, 54, were arrested at 8:20 a.m. as investigators with a warrant searched their home in the 6700 block of Pistachio pistachio (pĭstăsh`ēō, pĭstä`shēō), tree or shrub (of the genus Pistacia) of the family Anacardiaceae (sumac family). The species that yields the pistachio nut of commerce is P.  Place, Deputy Chris Christopher said.
