BRIEFLY OXNARD MAN, 25, KILLED IN CAR CRASH.OXNARD - A 25-year-old Oxnard motorist was killed early Friday when his eastbound car veered into oncoming traffic on Fifth Street and was hit broadside by a van, officials said. Joe Edward Padilla was taken to St. John's Medical Center after the 8:10 a.m. crash and was pronounced dead. He had not been wearing a seat belt, officials said. The driver of the van, Nancy G. Nhuyen, 40, was treated for minor injuries and released. Witnesses told authorities that a silver or gray four-door sedan may have been involved in the crash.
