He was hired in 2001 to replace John Cooper. Since becoming Ohio State's 22nd head football coach, his team has won a National Championship, achieving the first 14-0 season signed a new six-year contract Monday worth at least $1.3 million this season and as much as $1.8 million in the final year. The contract replaces a deal that would have expired after the 2005 season.
