Quinn saw a passenger, Hector Padilla, 23, of North Hollywood, unconscious in the burning car, and pulled him to safety. Child dies after hanging incident

LANCASTER - Authorities on Saturday were investigating the apparently accidental hanging death of a 10-year-old girl, a sheriff's spokesperson said.

The child was found in the 45100 block of Rachel Avenue at about 6:15 p.m., the spokesperson said.

She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, he said.

No further information was immediately available.
