 athlete Marcus Raines on charges he murdered Christopher O'Leary was postponed Tuesday because a new defense attorney must be appointed.

Attorney William McKinney represented Raines, 17, at his preliminary hearing but was not retained to handle the remainder of the case, officials said.

O'Leary, an 18-year-old former Littlerock High student, was punched and kicked just after midnight May 20 when he went to pick up his girlfriend at a football team member's birthday party. He died three days later.

Two other former Littlerock High athletes charged in the attack have already been sentenced after admitting to lesser charges.
