Two men arrested with stolen tires

THOUSAND OAKS - Two men are in custody after authorities said they tried to sell 400 stolen tires to a local store.

Juan Carlos Banda, 30, of Los Angeles and Juan Ramirez-Echevaria, 24, were taken into custody on suspicion of possession of stolen property after trying to sell the goods to The Tire Man on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, police said. The tires were taken during a large commercial theft in San Jose, police said.

About 400 tires and $600 were recovered at the scene, police said.
