BRIEFLY MOTORIST DIES IN REAR-END CRASH.


VAN NUYS - A motorist with an ``unkown medical condition'' was killed when he rear-ended a car that was stopped at a red light late Sunday night Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, was an NBC late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists. , police said.

Herbert L. Woman, daughter victims of crash

NORTHRIDGE - Authorities on Monday identified a woman and her daughter who were killed in a weekend traffic collision in Northridge.

< Police seek help in shooting case

PACOIMA - Police asked Monday for the public's help in finding a gunman who killed Andres Guardado Escobar, 19, of Sylmar as he sat in a car.

Escobar, who would have turned 20 on Thursday, was shot to death about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on El Dorado Avenue near Pierce Street, after being involved in a dispute with at least one other person, police said.

With no suspect in custody, detectives asked anyone with information on the shooting to contact them at the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Division at (818) 834-3112.

VENTURA - A 48-year-old man who entered his burning apartment and died of smoke inhalation was identified Monday as Jan Roy Masin, 48, of Ventura, coroner's officials said.

Masin, who lived alone, was found dead about 7 p.m. Sunday near the back door of his home in the 300 block of Wall St., officials said.

Man, 85, killed as car hits pole

OXNARD - An 85-year-old Oxnard man, suspected of driving drunk, died early Monday when his car ran off the road and hit a pole, officials said.

John Boggs was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. at St. John's Medical Center after the Sunday afternoon crash at Channel Islands Boulevard and Ventura Road in Oxnard.
