School expected to resume classes

LAKE HUGHES - Hughes-Elizabeth Lake Union School District pupils were expected to resume classes today.

The school's 455 students got a second day off Wednesday as crews worked to clear away heavy snowfall and fallen trees.

The school had shut down Tuesday, when snow levels reached 1 1/2 feet and up to 2 feet in some places, Superintendent Robert Haley said.
