BRIEFLY METRO.Byline: The Register-Guard Eugene police probe a pair of robberies Eugene Police are investigating two robberies which occurred at businesses within three hours of each other Saturday evening. The suspect in each incident was dressed in similar clothing, threatened employees with a knife and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, according to according to prep. 1. At about 5:43 p.m., a man with a knife robbed the Subway sandwich shop at 1920 Franklin Blvd. The suspect was described as a white male in his late 40s. He wore dark jeans and a dark sweatshirt with the word "Oregon" across the front and had the hood pulled down over his forehead. He also had a red bandanna that covered his lower jaw and neck area. The suspect was described as being 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall and 160 to 180 pounds with grayish stubble and gray hair. At about 8:30 p.m., police said a man entered the Adult Shop at 90 Holeman Alley, held a knife to the clerk and demanded money. The suspect is described as 6-foot to 6-foot-2 with a slim build.
