Squirrel blamed for electrical outage

Nearly 400 Eugene Water & Electric Board customers were without power much of Saturday after an electrical vault failed on Vincent Street near Harlow Road soon after 10 a.m., EWEB EWEB Eugene Water and Electric Board (Oregon)  spokesman Lance Robertson said.

"It started with a squirrel," he said, and had nothing to do with the heavy rain and winds that swept through the area later in the afternoon.

Power was expected to be restored by late Saturday evening. Workers had to bring in a crane to pull out the underground vault and replace it, he said. The affected area included residences north and south of Harlow Road, including those on Palomino Palomino

Colour type of horse distinguished by its cream, yellow, or gold coat and a white or silver mane. It is popular in pleasure and parade classes. Palominos may conform to the breed types of several light breeds, including the Arabian horse and the American Quarter Horse.
 Drive, Pinto pinto

Spotted horse, also called paint, piebald, skewbald, and other terms to describe variations in colour and markings. The American Indian ponies of the western U.S. were often pintos. Most pure-breed associations refuse to register horses with pinto colouring.
Way, Vincent Street and Ascot Drive, Robertson said.
