The event will be from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in Monarch Hall on campus. Guest speakers include Christina Celedon, outreach coordinator for children's assault treatment services at Northridge Hospital in Van Nuys, and Mary Ann Lague, a registered nurse and sexual assault examiner.

Food fest raises scholarship funds

Diabetes seminar targets Latinos

NORTHRIDGE - California State University's Associated Students have teamed with the American Diabetes Association's San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Subs named for director of parks

GLENDALE - Two city administrators were named Tuesday to serve as interim co-directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Outgoing Director of Parks and Recreation Nello Iacono had his final day of work Friday, retiring after 25 years with the city.

Scott Reese, 55, assistant director of parks and recreation, and Robert Courtney Robert Ray Courtney (born 1952 in Hays, Kansas) was a pharmacist who owned and operated Research Medical Tower Pharmacy in Kansas City, Missouri. Over a period of about 9 years he diluted an estimated 98,000 prescriptions of medications, affecting some 4,200 patients; many , 40, a community services administrator, will fill in for Iacono while city staff completes the executive recruitment and selection process.

Reese has worked for the city for 15 years and Courtney five years.
