The 1986 Suzuki Samurai driven by Carl Blanda, 39, of Ventura was struck by the train at 8:50 a.m. when it stalled on the tracks 40 feet east of the Victoria Avenue Railroad Crossing, according to Ventura police Lt. Skip Young.
