BRIEFLY MAN FOUND IN POOL LIVED AT THE HOME.


NORTH HOLLYWOOD - Authorities Sunday identified a man pronounced dead after being pulled from a swimming pool at a North Hollywood home as a 50-year-old resident of the home.

The man was identified as John Ceppi, said Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Coroner's Office.

The cause of death was not immediately known. Firefighters went to 7134 Bellaire Ave. about 12:15 p.m. Saturday after a neighbor reported seeing the apparently lifeless man in the pool, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 2 hospitalized after shooting at party

WOODLAND HILLS - About 2,000 TV viewers in Woodland Hills and Canoga Park suffered a cable outage Sunday, interrupting such programs as ``60 Minutes,'' a Time-Warner Cable spokesman said.

The blackout lasted from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. He said its cause was undetermined.

Girl, 3, `serious' after pool incident

NORTH HOLLYWOOD - A 3-year-old girl was in serious condition Sunday after she nearly drowned in a home swimming pool, a fire department spokesman said.

The girl was rescued at about 5:30 p.m. from a pool in the 6200 block of Klump Avenue and airlifted to Children's Hospital A children's hospital is a hospital which offers its services exclusively to children. ``This is a very dangerous time right now for children and swimming pools,'' Wells said. ``Guardians and pool owners need to be very mindful of small children and people who can't swim - even a half-minute lapse of attention is too long.''
