 Donna Fields Goldstein, 55, of Studio City were named along with Deputy Attorney General Robin Miller Sloan and Nancy L. Newman.

Chung has been a deputy district attorney since 1992, prosecuting crimes ranging from drunk driving to murder.

Naming ceremony planned at college

VALLEY GLEN - Valley College will have a naming ceremony for its new library and learning resource center at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the campus center.

The Robert N. Hertzberg Library and Learning Resource Center, a $34 million facility, will honor former Assembly Speaker Robert Hertzberg. Hertzberg has pledged an initial gift of $100,000 to launch a $1 million endowment campaign for the library.

Hertzberg will be in attendance along with other dignitaries.

League seeking funds for police

The Los Angeles Police Protective League appealed Friday for more federal funds Federal Funds
