BRIEFLY LIQUOR STORE HIT BY ARMED ROBBERS.

PALMDALE - A Palmdale liquor store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning by two men who ordered the clerk and customers to lie on the floor, officials said.

The robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of money and two bottles of liquor from the Desert View Liquor Store at 10th Street West and Palmdale Boulevard.

The robbery occurred just after 8:30 a.m. when the two men entered the store waving handguns and ordering everyone to the floor. After getting the cash and liquor, the robbers told the people to stay on the floor for 30 seconds or they'd be shot.

The robbers fled in a white 1970s or 1980s two-door compact car, possibly a Toyota, with a luggage rack on the trunk.

Investigators searched for the vehicle and the men but were not able to locate either.

The men were described as African-American, each about 30 years old with a medium build.

Anyone with information about the identity of the robbers or the vehicle is asked to contact the sheriff's station at (661) 267-4300.
