Victim of crash was El Monte man

MALIBU CANYON - A trash truck driver who died after crashing the truck and suffering massive head trauma was identified Wednesday as Martin Alvarado Navarro of El Monte, authorities said.

Center will offer police services

Contract awarded for sanitation site

The long-planned construction of a new Bureau of Sanitation facility in the east San Fernando Valley is scheduled to begin next month with the award this week of a $24.7 million construction contract.

Plans call for a full-service building on the 14-acre site formerly owned by the Department of Water and Power at 11050 Pendleston St. in Sun Valley, where a 110,490-square-foot facility is to be constructed.
