Pasadena Superior Court Judge Mary Thornton House is scheduled Tuesday to review another judge's order suspending Dr. Drueciel Ford's dentistry license until after a preliminary hearing is held.

The 48-year-old Pasadena dentist is charged with 14 criminal counts, including child abuse and unprofessional conduct, for allegedly giving five children overdoses of the sedative sedative, any of a variety of drugs that relieve anxiety. She pleaded not guilty Feb. 3, and Judge Terry Smerling suspended Ford's dentistry license until after the preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for today but was postponed to March 2 on the defense's request.

Since news of Ford's arrest, police said they have received complaints from other parents - some of whom contended that their children were unconscious for hours after being treated at her office.

 on March 1 will honor several local students for their artistic talent. The Spotlight Awards, created in 1988 to recognize talented students in the arts, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, 200 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles.

Alison Clark, a senior at John Burroughs High School John Burroughs High School is a public high school located in Burbank, California. Emilio Urioste, Jr. is the current principal. The school was built in the 1920's, but wasn't established as a high school until 1948. The school was named after naturalist John Burroughs.  in Burbank, won first place in photography. Artem Golestian, a sophomore at Hoover High School Hoover High School may refer to any of the following:
  • Hoover High School (Alabama), Hoover, Alabama, made famous by the MTV show Two-A-Days
  • Hoover High School, North Canton, Ohio
  • Hoover High School, Glendale, CA
 in Glendale, took first prize in the poster contest. Paul Kim, a senior at Glendale High; Angela Juarez, a senior at Hoover High; and Nouaw Boldy and Seung Yul Oh, both seniors at Crescenta Valley High, will receive honorable mention in the poster contest.
