 Gilfilan Defense & Electronics said Tuesday it won a $14.93 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force.

The contract calls for Van Nuy's-based ITT to provide three ground control approach radar-2000 systems, installation, flight check and three years of extended warranty options.

Storms hit sales at Pizza Kitchen

BofA will be moving into space currently occupied by British Petroleum, a global energy company, in the 55-story building at 333 S. Hope St., which will be re-named Bank of America Plaza There are several buildings in the United States called Bank of America Plaza:
  • Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta) in Georgia
  • Bank of America Plaza in Miami, Florida
 when the move is accomplished by September 2004.

Signs at the roof line and plaza of the flagship building will bear the company's name.

``With our current lease expiring, we wanted to reinvest in a downtown site that visibly declares our commitment to Los Angeles and the state of California, and also represents our leadership as California's largest bank and the largest consumer bank in the nation,'' said Liam McGee, Bank of America National Consumer Banking president and president, Bank of America California.

The building was home to Security Pacific National Bank before that company merged with Bank of America in 1992, McGee noted.

Since 2001, Los Angeles has been the headquarters city for Bank of America National Consumer Banking, which includes more than 4,200 banking centers in 21 states and the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States). . The city also has been headquarters for Bank of America California since 1999.

Bank of America occupies 1.5 million square feet of office space in downtown Los Angeles.

Write-off causes profits to decline

BERLIN - German media company Bertelsmann AG's profits fell 25 percent last year as the music industry's troubles forced it to write off much of the value of its Zomba Music acquisition.
