BRIEFLY INTRUDER ARRESTED AT ACTRESS'S HOME.


MALIBU - A 27-year-old woman who was discovered at ``V.I.P.'' star Pamela Anderson's Malibu Colony home over the weekend is scheduled to be arraigned at Malibu Superior Court today, deputies said.

The actress was apparently home at the time the call was made to authorities, deputies said.

Apparently, Roth had been on the beach in front of Anderson's home about two weeks before her Sunday arrest, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Cally Barrier of the Malibu-Lost Hills station.

Armed man holds suspect for police

SIMI VALLEY - A resident detained one of three suspects at gunpoint Monday after he saw them take $1,400 worth of stereo equipment from his parked car, police said.

Police said they arrested Richard Quiles and Richard Lugo, both 19, of Simi Valley, and Bryan Corey, 19, of Quartz Hill on suspicion of grand theft.

The unidentified victim said he armed himself after seeing the suspects outside his Elmore Street home and was able to detain one of the men. Police said they apprehended the two other men and also recovered the stereo equipment and other stolen property.

Lawmaker's aide to hold outreach

SIMI VALLEY - An aide for Rep. Elton Gallegly, R-Simi Valley, will hold an outreach with constituents from 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 12 at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.

Parks comment period extended

The public comment period for the draft general management plan for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area: see National Parks and Monuments (table).  has been extended to May 31, the National Park Service announced.

Because of printing delays, the draft plan was mailed late.

The draft plan presents four alternative strategies for park management over the next 20 years. The Park Service is working on the plan with California State Parks This is a list of state parks and reserves in the California state park system.

Public workshop set on future park

WESTLAKE VILLAGE - The first community workshop on the Foxfield Park project is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude's Church, 32032 Lindero Canyon Road.

Residents will have the chance to discuss what they would like to see in the future park and also tour the 1.34-acre site on Foxfield Drive, next to the fire station.

A second workshop will be held in April to review the conceptual master plan. Participants must notify the city at (818) 706-1613 if they plan to attend.
