Architect picked for kids museum

Officials with the Los Angeles Childrens Museum plan to announce today the selection of Sarah Graham as the architect for the Hansen Dam campus portion of the new museum.

Graham is with Angelil/Graham/Pfenninger/Scholl, a Los Angeles-based firm that has overseen projects across the country and is known for its innovative and environmentally friendly designs, officials said.

Drunk teens must attend counseling

GRANADA HILLS - Seven Kennedy High School boys caught drinking off campus after skipping class have been suspended for two days, campus officials said Thursday.

Assistant Principal Tim Guy said the students, ranging in age from 15 to 19, are due back in class today and all must attend a mandatory districtwide counseling program on alcohol use.

The unidentified man had apparently left his car running in the parking lot of the library at 4545 North Oakwood Ave., gone inside the library and collapsed, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Steven Toly. It's unclear why he went into the library, Toly said.
