BRIEFLY HUSBAND ARRESTED AFTER WIFE'S DEATH.


GLENDALE - A 68-year-old man was being held Friday in lieu of Instead of; in place of; in substitution of. It does not mean in addition to.  $1 million after being arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife, whose body was found in their bathroom, police said.

Andranik Grigoryan is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of murdering his 61-year-old wife, Sivarto Abo.

Her body was found Thursday afternoon by emergency personnel who responded to report of a woman not breathing in the 400 block of West Wilson. Officials would not say how Abo was killed.

Grigoryan was arrested later, outside Glendale Adventist Medical Center Glendale Adventist Medical Center is located in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, California. It was founded in 1905. Glendale Adventist Medical Center is a sister institution of Loma Linda University Medical Center and is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist hospital system. , where he had sought medical treatment for an illness.

Police said they have no record of domestic violence between the couple.

Victim identified in Glendale death

GLENDALE - A man killed in a street shooting was identified Friday as Rudolpho Rodarte, 26, of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. .

Rodarte was driving west in the 300 block of West Chevy Chase Chevy Chase (chĕv`ē), town (1990 pop. 8,559), Montgomery co., W central Md., a residential suburb of Washington, D.C.; founded as a village, inc. 1914.  Drive near Central Avenue late Thursday when he was shot in the head by an unknown assailant, police Sgt. Bruce Fox said.

Officials are unsure whether Rodarte was shot by someone standing on the street or from a car.

Council discusses airport-plan suit

BURBANK - After meeting for 3 1/2 hours Friday, the Burbank City Council continued discussion to Monday night on whether to withdraw or amend its lawsuit lawsuit: see procedure; tort.  to overturn Measure A.

``We had a tremendously good and productive session, but we took no action,'' said Councilman David Laurell. ``It's an important thing for us to tackle every single angle.''

The council is also scheduled to discuss the suit at its regularly scheduled Tuesday night meeting.

Measure A, approved by voters on Oct. 9, requires that any new passenger terminal plan include an overnight operations curfew curfew [O.Fr.,=cover fire], originally a signal, such as the ringing of a bell, to damp the fire, extinguish all lights in the dwelling, and retire for the night.
