BRIEFLY HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER SOUGHT IN CRASH.PACOIMA - Police on Friday were looking for the driver of a car that crashed into the back of a semi-truck, killing one of his passengers and critically injuring another. The crash occurred on Paxton Street near Telfair Avenue about 7:30 p.m. when the car slammed into the back of the semi parked on the side of the road, said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Fred Meck. The driver fled before police or rescue workers arrived. A man believed to be about 25 years old man was discovered dead in the front passenger seat, while a man about the same age was in the back seat with critical injuries, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. - Daily News Prison term given for jailbreak help A woman who admitted aiding in the jailbreak attempt of a man charged in the kidnap-slayings of four Russian immigrants from the San Fernando Valley was sentenced Friday to 16 months in federal prison. Sabrina Tynan pleaded guilty to helping her husband, Thomas, attempt to break his ex-cellmate out at the Metropolitan Detention Center. She was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nora Manella, who said the defendant was doing everything in her power to help a murder suspect succeed at his escape plan in hope of sharing in a promised payment of $1 million. Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and others with weakened immune systems. The affected products were sold on or after Feb. 13 at Whole Foods stores in Torrance and Los Angeles, as well as Trader Joe's stores in Southern California, according to Buena Park-based Fresh Food Concepts. An arrest warrant has been issued for Raymond Drumm, 44, who is white, 5 feet 10, about 190 pounds, with blue eyes, a shaved head and numerous tattoos, said Beverly Hills police Lt. Mitch McCann. Drumm is suspected of robbing the First Republic Bank at 9593 Wilshire Blvd at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 6, McCann said.
