Collision injuries fatal to man, 57

GLENDALE - A 57-year-old Glendale resident was fatally injured in an afternoon traffic collision Tuesday, after his Lexus collided with a Chevy Tahoe, authorities said.

Service set today for Lynne Weaver

MALIBU - A private memorial service is scheduled today for Lynne Weaver, the daughter-in-law of actor Dennis Weaver who was among the 10 people killed a week ago when a car plowed through the Santa Monica farmers market.

The service will be at an undisclosed location in Malibu.

Police ask public to help find boys

Police asked for public help Tuesday in locating two boys last seen in the northeast San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

He was described as a male black, 155 pounds and 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was wearing long black shorts, a white long-sleeve shirt, white shoes and a black baseball cap with white lettering.

Suspect in arsons will be evaluated

ENCINO - A man charged with a series of arson attacks at houses of worship in Encino earlier this year was ordered Tuesday to undergo evaluation to determine if he is mentally competent to stand trial.

Two doctors are expected to be appointed at an Aug. 12 hearing to examine Farshid Haji Ezra Tehrani.
