BRIEFLY HAHN RESCHEDULES 'STATE OF VALLEY'.

Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn has rescheduled his ``State of the Valley' address to business leaders for Jan. 26, it was announced on Wednesday.

Officials with the Valley Industry and Commerce Association said the mayor will address the group during its meeting, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Airtel Plaza Hotel.

Hahn canceled his appearance before the group earlier this month when he fell ill on his way to its annual organization meeting.

Sprint on runway leads to a delay

A jet bound for Atlanta was evacuated Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport after a man ran onto a runway, authorities said.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after he was captured, said Tom Winfrey, a spokesman for LAX.

The man, who was booked onto the Atlanta flight, passed through airport security before slipping through a door that led to a runway about 12:05 p.m., Winfrey said. The man was captured about 10 minutes later.
