BRIEFLY FRIDAY DEADLINE FOR BARGAIN BOOTHS.


PALMDALE - Local businesses have until Friday to receive a discounted price for reserving a booth in the Oct. 26 Palmdale Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase.

Chamber members can pay $90 for a booth if reserved this week, and $120 afterward af·ter·ward   also af·ter·wards

Tiny tot sign-up set for Saturday

PALMDALE - Parents can register their youngsters for the fall session of the city's Tiny Tot Activity Program during a special sign-up from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Palmdale Senior Center, 1002 E. Ave. Q-12.

Open registration will begin Monday at the Parks and Recreation Department office, 38260 10th St. E.

The fall session will run Oct. 2 to Dec. 15.

On Saturday, numbered wrist bands will be distributed at 7 a.m. An informational meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m., when parents can meet instructors and obtain additional details.

The session fee varies from $73 to $108 per child.

The Tiny Tots Activity Program is designed to help teach social skills while introducing children to the alphabet alphabet [Gr. alpha-beta, like Eng. ABC], system of writing, theoretically having a one-for-one relation between character (or letter) and phoneme (see phonetics). Few alphabets have achieved the ideal exactness. , numbers, colors and shapes.

Children must be potty-trained and accustomed to parental separation. A birth certificate or proof of age is required at the time of registration. Children must be 3 to 4 years old by Dec. 1.
