BRIEFLY FOUR TOPS CONCERT IN A.V. POSTPONED.


LANCASTER - The Four Tops concert at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre.  has been postponed from Feb. 28 to March 3.

Tickets issued for the Feb. 28 date will be honored at the March 3 show, which will begin at 8 p.m. No action need be taken by current ticket holders, theater officials said.

People with tickets will be contacted by the theater individually. Call the LPAC 1. (audio, compression) LPAC - Lossless Predictive Audio Compression.

Chamber accepts award nominees

PALMDALE - Nominations will be accepted until Friday for the Member of the Year award for the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce.

Nominees must demonstrate local participation in civic and service organizations, charitable activities, political pursuits, religious groups and other involvement such as merchants associations; exhibit initiative and creativity, enhancing the stability and improvement of the chamber and community; and provide valuable service to the chamber and community.

LANCASTER - The Democratic Club of the High Desert will hold a debate party from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and view the latest televised debate featuring the nine Democratic presidential hopefuls.

The club meets on the second Saturday of each month from 5 to 10 p.m. Various members of the club have played at events around the valley, including the Palmdale Playhouse's Harvest Moon harvest moon, full moon occurring nearest to the autumnal equinox, about Sept. 23. Classes to begin on Salsa today

PALMDALE - Salsa and Latin dance classes for teenagers and adults will begin today at Desert Sands Park, 39101 3rd St. E. Beginner class is 6 to 7 p.m. and intermediate class is 7 to 8 p.m. Each class is eight weeks long.

PALMDALE - Salsa, ballroom and country dance lessons will be taught by three local instructors from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 14 at the Palmdale Senior Center, 1002 E. Ave. Q-12.

Student credits for providing help

Students at the University of California, Los Angeles UCLA comprises the College of Letters and Science (the primary undergraduate college), seven professional schools, and five professional Health Science schools. Since 2001, UCLA has enrolled over 33,000 total students, and that number is steadily rising. , and various California State University Enrollment
 campuses and community colleges can earn academic credit by helping residents of public housing projects in Los Angeles County.

``This program is about learning and personal growth for both sides: the college students and the residents of our public housing sites,'' said Carlos Jackson, executive director of the county's Community Development Commission.
