 - Using the theme ``Good Times,'' would-be float designers can submit ideas for the city of Glendale's entry in the 2002 Tournament of Roses parade The Tournament of Roses Parade was established, and first held, on January 1,1890, in Pasadena, California, eight miles (13 km) northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

Rooted in tradition, this parade is broadcast on multiple television networks, watched by upwards of one

Entries must be written or drawn in black and white on 8 1/2-by-14-inch paper, with the designer's name placed in a sealed envelope and taped to the back of the submission.

Engman chosen for teacher award

GLENDALE - Rosaline Rosaline (IPA: 'ɹɑzəlɪn [and] 'ɹɑzəlīn) is an unseen character and niece of Lord Capulet in William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet (1597).  Engman, head teacher at the Cerritos Child Development Program, has been recognized with the John Delmonte Award for Exemplary Teaching Skills.
