Three lingering charges were dropped Tuesday against a pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.

Two weeks ago, a jury acquitted Drueciel Ford of 60 felony and misdemeanor counts, but deadlocked on two counts of child endangerment and one count of conspiracy. Jury convicts man in passenger death

A man was convicted of second-degree murder Tuesday for the death of a car passenger, who was killed during a police pursuit last year.

Two Simi residents guilty of forgery

VENTURA - Two Simi Valley residents were convicted Tuesday on felony charges of conspiracy, identity theft, check forgery and driver's license forgery, the Ventura County District Attorney reported.

Officials said Teresa Lynn Ballek, 37, and Anthony Randazzo, 39, were arrested Aug. 9 at their home, where the two used a computer to manufacture checks, California driver's licenses and U.S. currency.
